DreamCloud is made and sold by Resident, a modern home company. It's one of the most popular hybrid luxury mattresses online (in fact, one of the most popular period), and has a unique look, feel, and vibe that we'll explore in detail below.
At first glance, the Dreamcloud hybrid mattress looks like a mattress fit for a castle. You can't help but to notice the hand-tufted cashmere top. It looks (and is) incredibly soft and luxurious. The rest of the review aside, I really like the look of this bed. The team has done a great job giving it a unique, but classy appearance and it's a shame we've got to wrap it in sheets, because that top really is nice stuff.
I love a firm mattress. I've been saying it for years, we need more firm mattresses on the market. With so many people sleeping hot, a firm, hybrid mattress is just what the doctor ordered. For people who like to sleep on the mattresss, not inside of it, or those on the heavier side, I really think Dreamcloud is a good pick. Even if it's not, the generous 365-day return policy has you covered.
The DreamCloud mattress is a about a 6.5 on the scale above. The company states that this is luxury firm, but for all intents and purposes, we consider this to be a little more on the firm side. A 6.5 is great for back and stomach sleepers, and completely enjoyable for side sleepers too.
In terms of hug and contour, since it is a firmer mattress, you'll be sleeping primarily on the top of the DreamCloud, not inside of it. That also helps with the cooling factor, because less of the material is wrapped around you.
Most hybrid mattresses (at least those with pocket coils) sleep cool, and the Dreamcloud is no exception. In addition to the coils, there's a gel-infused memory foam at work here, providing great heat distribution / diffusion while still providing adequate hug, bounce, and comfort.
Dreamcloud is a luxury hybrid mattress. There are 6 layers:
Size | Dimensions |
---|---|
Twin | 38" x 75" |
Twin XL | 38" x 80" |
Full | 54" x 75" |
Queen | 60" x 80" |
King | 76" x 80" |
Cali King | 72" x 84" |
Dreamcloud's website does not list the weights of the mattresses in any sizes. We've inquired about this and will update the site once we have more information.
Dreamcloud offers the standard gamut of customer support options:
Support options are available 7 days per week and from 6am PST to 6pm PST.
Dreamcloud ships for free, and typically ships within 2-3 business days from your order.
An interesting note: Most mattresses come in a box, but not Dreamcloud. It comes in a bag (which is actually quite a bit easier to lug into the house).
Dreamcloud stands behind their products and offers a substantial 365 night trial (1 full year) and a lifetime warranty. This is one the best offers we've seen on the market today.
As far as shipping and returns, both are free, and they offer a 100% refund.
